Roll Dice
Features
Roll Dice is a Slack app used by teams to make decisions, in a fun way.
For example you can roll a dice to decide who moderates the next
meeting.
- Throw as many dices, with as many sides as you want.
-
The other members can also participate in the same session, using
the "Roll" button.
- Throwing multiple times per session is possible.
-
The rolls are grouped by the number of the attempts and sorted
chronologically.
How to use
Default dice
To roll a 6-sided dice on time: Type /roll-dice
in any
Slack conversation and press Enter.
Custom dice
To use the dice standard notation, type the slash command followed by
the mode. For example, to roll a 2 20-sided dice you can type:
/roll-dice 2d20
Privacy Policy
No email address or other personally identifiable information is
being collected.
When the app's servers receive a request to roll the dice, Slack
provides some basic information, for example the ID of the user, and
this is needed to display the username next to the rolled dice, so the
users in the Slack channel can see who rolled what.
When installing the Roll Dice, Slack will ask to autorize the app to use
the Slash Command API, and this needed for the core feature
(/roll-dice).
Check
Slack's API
for more information.
All the data provided during the installation, using the Slash Command
or when pressing the "Roll" button is used to only fulfill the intended
action and none of it is stored by the app or shared with a third party.
